In just a few days, you are going to be a mom. No doubt you are counting the hours away and can not wait for that moment when you can hold your baby for the first time.

Now is the time to take a few minutes to make sure you have got everything ready before you go to the hospital. Make sure you have done your birth plan and have decided what you will find the most comfortable to wear on the day. Take a few things from home, like your own pillows or an aroma scent you often use at home, to make the hospital feel more like home, but make sure to check the rules at your maternity hospital first.

Once you have got everything together, it is a good idea to pack them in two bags - one for your main essentials, and one on standby in case you may need to stay some extra days at the hospital. You can leave the extra bags in the car or at home. Someone can bring it in for you later on when needed.

Your hospital bag essentials:
  • Sleep suits for baby
  • Nipple Cream - if you decide to breastfeed
  • Muslin cloth (lampin)
  • Diapers (for new born)
  • Diaper Cream
  • Wipes
  • Maternity Pads
  • Breast Pads
  • Swaddle
  • Beauty Kit / Toiletries
