Make Waiting In Line With Kids Easier

It’s the time of the year we go Christmas shopping for decorations and gifts! Everything turns out fun especially with your kids around running and enjoying the sight, and you finally arrive at the cashier with a very long line. With kids in the mall, we all know what happens next... they go wild and impatient.

We read an article from Pop Sugar Moms, and we thought of sharing some of their tips to make waiting in line with kids easier (aside from bringing that smartphone out).

1. Spelling Bee - Test your kids’ spelling skills by choosing words they know and don’t know.
2. Sing A Song - It works with almost any kid! Kids love to sing, especially if it’s a song from their favorite show. Just remember to keep the volume low.
3. Guess The Coin - Tell your kid to cover his or her eyes. Flip a coin or put it on his or her palm, and let them guess which side of the coin is facing up.
4. I Spy - Describe things that are near you. Drop clues and let your kids guess the object that you want them to figure out.
5. Think Categories - Think of a category like food, shows, songs, and give a letter. For example, you choose “food” that starts with the letter “C.” Exchanging turns, give as many examples as you can: carrots, cabbage, chicken, etc.
6. Thumb War - Every kid has probably enjoyed playing this game. But remember that they have small hands and fingers, so be careful.

What else do you do to make waiting in line with kids easier?
